Let's Add Some More Icing! +Lotte's Forest ~The Tale Of Love~ +Golden Hour

Hello! Welcome back to another post! The first thing I'm going to be talking about in this post is about Abracadabra Inc's new upcoming otome game called "Lotte's Forest ~The Tale of Love~". It's fairytaled themed and there are routes for The Frog Prince. Puss in Boots, Beauty & The Beast, and an Wizard. Here is the plot/summary (with the link to source down below like always):

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Mel.

She loved books, and one night she came across an extraordinary tome, completely covered in black ink. She took the book in her hands, and was forced to face unfathomable consequences--

The girl was about to close the strange book, when a dazzling light came flowing out of it.

Mel closed her eyes, and when she opened them again she found herself in an unfamiliar place.

There she met a young man, a cat and a beast. They all called her "Princess", but who were they?

Honestly when I first saw this my first thought was that I was going to enjoy this a lot due to it's fairytale theme. I also really love it's art style! I think it goes really well with it's theme as well! Though something that throws me off is romancing two animals (the cat bothering me the most, and I understand the beast one so I'm not really bothered by it). Honestly I'm really hyped for this game! Though I'm also a person who naturally loves this theme as well though. Before I move onto the next thing, I will say that this game is going to be coming out October 18th of this month/year!

Now the next thing I'm going to talk about is an indie otome game called "Golden Hour" which is being made by a group called Matchaa Studio. (Which is an indie game development team.) This is going to be a free to play mobile game. Though before I talk to much here is the summary/plot (with links down below):

A young woman transfers into a new school in her mother’s distant hometown just as the term is nearing its close. She finds herself caught up in the a whirlwind of activity leading up the school’s annual Festival of Lights.

Amidst a tangle of friendships, rivalries, courtships and conflicts she comes to learn their dreams, joys, fears, and foibles of those close to her—and must confront her own, as well . Will her choices lead them to a new light? Or sink them deeper into the dark?

I'm not going to lie that I actually forgot about this find. I saw it on my twitter feed and checked out the website and favorite it, then totally forgot about it until right before I started this post. (Mostly due to the fact that I had no idea what the link was until I clicked it and realized what it was.) It's not like I forgot about it on purpose though. I'm actually really intrigued with this game as well. I've just been busy/occupied/attracted to my many other fandoms that I'm into. Though this is one I'm looking forward to as well! They also seem to have quite a lot of information out about it as well! So there is enough things to make it grab your attention and get hyped about for it!

Finished Sweet! +V's Route

Hello! Welcome back to another post! With this post I'll be talking about V's route again. I just finished his route yesterday. Though like in my last post I'll try to make it have no spoilers. Though I mean it when I say try, so proceed with caution! Honestly I'm going to start off saying that I actually got V's Normal Ending. I was so disappointed in myself. I still a little sadness in me from it. Not only that but I have no motivation what so ever to redo his route. I may redo it once I have a long vacation even though I think that's bad to do since a lot of the things I probably messed up or missed out on will probably end up being redone. Though, right now I just want to catch up with sleep and get some rest. I do think that one of the reasons that I got his normal ending was because I was so soft hearted towards Saeran/Ray.

Like I remember that during the first four days of starting Another Story I always leveled up with Saeran when I talked to him. It would of course only be when I talked to him or else I tried to level up for V, but I really love Saeran a bit more than V. So I was disappointed when V's route came out first instead of Saeran's. I know that I also talked about it in my last post and I still think that it makes sense to start off with V to get a better understanding but... How could they have Saeran there also. I can't refuse him all the time. I don't want to disappoint or hurt him. So I think that loving Saeran really hurt the love meter for V for me. Not only that but on the 10th day I cried like I've never cried before. Due to what happened to Saeran also. Honestly I just really want a Saeran route. Like the sadness and disappointment I have for getting V's normal ending doesn't even match up to how sad and hurt I feel over what happened to Saeran.

Though I also have to say that I also did felt sadness towards Rika also. Like I really wanted to help her and such and try to lead her towards a better path full of love and such also, though of course in a better way. But no. Cheritz had to do the same thing to Rika that they did to Saeran. Though there were hints of Rika being a love interest so I hope she ends up having a route also! (Same with Vanderwood!) I think I've stated once before, though I'll state it just in case. But I've never hated her. Or felt ill about her in anyway. I just believe that she needs proper help. Old Sweet, New Decorations! +Mystic Messenger V's Route

Hello! Welcome back to another post! With this post I'll be basically talking about "Mystic Messenger"s V route. Though no need to worry I'll try to make it as spoiler free as I can. (Hint I said try so, still read with caution.) V's route came out on September 8th for Android users, but September 12th for IOS users. I'm currently on the 5th day of V's route. Now since I want this to be as spoiler free as possible, I'll just say how I've been feeling about it so far. Though I do want to point out that there actually tends to be a lot more visual novel modes, so far. (That I could tell and remember.) I will admit that I already feel like crying. Not only that but there tended to be a lot of things going down on the 4th day's night. (Though it's the 4th day so you kinda have to expect it, since it's the split off and such.) 

I have thoroughly been enjoying it though so far. I'll probably enjoy it as I keep playing. Though a part of me kinda wanted to have Unknown's route first. Though it makes since for V's to be first if you think about it. (Though it doesn't make it any less harder to reject Unknown...) I actually think that Unknown's route will also take place in the 'Another Story' section. Because of a few things actually. One - In 'Another Story' section you can get hearts with Unknown. Two - You don't start off in V's route right away, you have to wait til the 4th day like always. Though it also couldn't really mean anything sense that's like the prologue or such anyways, so this one could be completely wrong and such. But due to number one I'm guessing that's why and such. Not only that but it seems perfect for them to do that as such for people who've played it and such. Also since it's titled 'Another Story'.

I'm curious though on how Unknown's route will be though, especially if it is in 'Another Story'. (In the end though I still can't help but to love Unknown, no matter what he does. He is one of the most precious characters ever and I hate to see him hurt or in pain. Though sadly I have to harden my heart for him. But my heart always refuses...) Anyways! New Decorations! +Mystic Messenger V Route +Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome

Hello! Welcome back to another post! The first thing I'm going to talk about in this blog, is that V's route in "Mystic Messenger" came out Friday! Now it's not yet released for IOS users, but it should be any day for us now. V's route costs 300 hourglasses to play. I know that it seems like a lot, but it's probably worth it. Cheritz is actually doing a twitter event to celebrate V's release! It's about how would you pose if V is going to take a picture of you. It's from September 9th to the 17th with the winner(s) being announced the 18th. You can draw or take a photo of the pose you would do and it has to have the hashtag #MM_modeling_event. There will be 10 winners and they will be receiving an emoji cushion and a VA's autograph. (The set will be sent randomly.)

The other thing I'm going to talk about in this blog, is the game "Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome". It came out this week and on Steam it has 100% positive feedback. Now you can order this from MangaGamer if you want the R18+ version, or you can order it off of Steam for the all ages version. Though MangaGamer does have a patch of the R18+ version if you do buy it off of Steam and want the original full of it. (You have to have a MangaGamer account and get it off of their website. The patch is free also.) Though from what I've read about it is that it is extremely hilarious and that the comedy in it is really amazing and such. (Considering that it's hard to put comedy intentionally into an otome game.)

Let's Be Outside Today! +Bad Apple Wars +Signed and Sealed With a Kiss

Hello! Welcome back to another post! The first thing I'm going to talk about is "Bad Apple Wars". This game is now planning on being released October 13th. Also that the limited edition is a GameStop exclusive. I'll put the summary down here then move onto something, since I already talked about this in another post. Summary/Plot (With the source being down below like always!):

"The heroine, who was caught in an accident on the first day that she was to enter high school, suddenly found herself on the premises of an unknown school. This was NEVAEH Academy, a school for those whose souls were left behind after death.

In this school if you were a good student who followed the rules then, upon GRADUATION, you would be able to return and RESUME YOUR LIFE.”

The other thing I'm planning on talking about is a Visual Novel/Otome game called "Signed and Sealed With a Kiss". The maker of this game said it's like the manga (or tv series) known as "Absolute Boyfriend". Though before I say more, here is the summary. (With link down below.)

You get an unexpected package delivery one day. When you open it, there’s a man inside - but luckily, he comes with instructions! You have your own impressionable boyfriend. It’s your duty to shape him into a proper person… since he’s actually a “doll” with no past exposure to people.

Lucky for me I actually read the "Absolute Boyfriend" manga during summer. So I kinda already have a feel for this and am quite hyped for this. Also the link I'm linking down below for the summary is actually their indiegogo website also! So if you want then donate! They reached their goal, but there is a lot of extra features that could be added into the game if they get the money for it! Honestly speaking though I'm low-key trash for these type of games though. I just love all of the different possibilities and how they end up being and such. I'm also going to mention real quick that this game is 17+ so... Just as a warning!

Let's Talk Designs! +Otome Game Translations

Hello! Welcome back to another post! With this post I'll be talking about English translated otome games. Though it's not necessarily what you think. (Unless you do know, then congrats to you.) The thing that actually made me want to talk about this was because of two things. The first thing being that the new R18 otome game came out on Steam this week called "Les Fleursword", which is only $1.99. But I've read reviews on it and saw how people felt about the poor English translation of it, since it is originally a Chinese otome. The second reason was because I found a poll about this on twitter. It asked how people felt about an otome game if it was like that. So that is why I decided to make a post about it! Though besides those two reasons onto why. Then I'll also say that it's not uncommon to see these things in the otome fandom, that fans talk about. But let's get started! 

I honestly actually don't really see a lot of people who don't really care about poor translation or anything of the sort. I guess the people who just tend to not like it seem more vocal. Though I do like to say there are two ways to make/have a poor translation. The first way I'd like to point out is probably the most common one, or I guess the one you end up reading/seeing the most of. The one is just words not being in the right order or typos or grammar or just things like that. I don't think I really need to go into a lot of detail on this one, but this is the one people probably see and talk about a lot. The other one I'm going to talk about is something I feel you can only see/read about if you are in that or a certain fandom. Though who knows. Even if you aren't you could see it probably.

This next one doesn't have anything to really do with grammar or anything like that. But it's more like how the company is translating it. By this I mean them translating a person (or people) wrongly. This mostly happens mangas and/or light novels that get an English translation. I haven't really seen this one when it comes to games, though please do tell me if there are some games like this. What I mean though by this is that the Japanese manga/light novel could have the character(s) like how they always are (or super close to it (but of course somethings like this are an exception)), but when a translation company gets the licences to translate it then they translate that character wrongly. They do that since sometimes they think that is better to address them like that to the western, so we understand it better. (Or along those lines.) I don't really understand how doing that is better or anything though. That is technically called censoring, and miss use of the rights given to you.

It is also disrespect to the original person of it. Also to completely throw of a character on what the fandom is used to or know of is also bad. It's also bad for the new fans who might read those first, if the game is in Japanese and they don't know Japanese, or that language. So they will be introduced to that character differently and wrongly. Not only that but if there are different people working on their own story for that game (so they all have the same origin but different projects to write about) then it would make sense for certain characters to not always be connected to the other stories. But they would still make that same character or characters at the same in those other ones, so we can be 'reminded'/'familiar' with them. Honestly when it comes to poor translating this is the only one I care about. I don't even care about the first one. This is the one I care most about, since it enrages me so. I also meant to do a post about this one in particular, so I might make a full post just about this, but...

Let's Talk Ice Cream Flavors! +Otome Stereotypes

Hello! Welcome back to another post! Now I know people talk about this all the type but... For this post I'll be talking about stereotypes. Now at first I felt like I should tell you the stereotype and describe it, but I have a feeling that it's no use and that it's rather something people just know. Especially with how much this topic has been talked about in the fandom. I might give a brief description though. Also I'll be giving how I feel about them, though I'm not picky and love all, so... I'm also going to mention that I'm not going to do all of them in this post (since that would obviously take a long time and such), so I'll only do 4 for this post. (I'll also mention that I'm not going to talk about Yandere's since I just talked about them recently.) So I might make more posts about this at a later time for other types.

Anyways! First type is the Gentleman type. Honestly speaking about this one, then I tend to normally do these guys towards the last of the routes. They aren't my last and I always tend to love and enjoy their routes, but I still normally don't do them as one of my first. (Though sometimes I do tend to pick them as one of my firsts.) This type tends to be really gentle and classy with the MC. (Other things also obviously,) I think most people know about this type so there is no need to talk about it any further.

The next type is the Playboy type. This one is also known as the Womanizer, Flirt, etc. I honestly find no use in explaining this type due to it being so obvious. So I'll go straight into how I feel/think of this type. When I first started playing otome games (and even still now some/most of the time) I used to always pick them as my first route. So I tend to like these types, even if people tend to not really like them in the fandom for the most part.

The next type is the Kuudere type. Kuudere's tend to be cold and distant, but warm up to you once they know/trust you better. (For the most part.) Honestly these types tend to be wherever in my order. Since sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. I think it just all depends on how they writer/maker of the otome game portrays them. Of course there could be other factors also, but for the most part I tend to enjoy them. I enjoy the progression of the relationship in their routes.

The final stereotype for this post is Tsundere's. (I find it hard to believe that anyone would not know what this one is but just in case.) This type is when the character actually likes you (and/or already has fallen in love/has a crush on you) but shows it by being mean and harsh to you. (Again. For the most part. But they do warm up to you and eventuality confess their love to you.) I want to keep this one quick since I feel I'll get a lot of hate for this... But.. This one is probably my least favorite stereotype. I do still play their routes, but since I knew female tsundere's first and found them annoying I tended to feel that why towards the males. AT FIRST. Though now I'm pretty okay with them. To me it's just something on how the writer decided to portray it. Like there are actually A LOT of tsundere's I like now, just due to how the writer made/portrayed it in that character.

So I'm fine with them now. But at first it just bothered me and I tended to like a character a little less because of it, before I played their route. Though I have a decently liking towards them now. But in the end of all this I tend to equally play all their routes now. Like now I'm to really set-based on any type or anything. Now I just do which ever one I tend to feel attracted to most. But I think I'll end this post here.
